Decide before you ride: Watch the ride in operation and read all warning signs before you determine whether this ride is really for you.

  1. A rider must obey posted rules and verbal instructions of the operator.
  2. A rider shall not ride if the rider has a physical condition that may be aggravated by participation on the ride.
  3. A rider shall board or dismount a ride only in the designated area.
  4. A rider shall not disconnect, disable or attempt to disconnect or disable any safety device, seat belt harness or any restraining device before, during or after movement of the ride has started, except as instructed by the operator.
  5. A rider shall not throw or expel any object from the ride.
  6. A rider shall not act in any manner contrary to posted or oral rules while boarding, riding or dismounting the ride.
  7. A rider shall not engage in any reckless act or activity which may injure the rider or others.
  8. A rider shall not board or attempt to board any ride if intoxicated.
  9. A rider should report any injury sustained to Lagoon's Safety and Security Department at the Park entrance before leaving the Park.

There are inherent risks in the participation in or on any amusement ride or device, water slide or other attraction, and such participation may be hazardous regardless of all reasonable safety measures undertaken by Lagoon. Lagoon guests using an amusement ride or device, water slide or other attraction accept the risks inherent in such participation of which the ordinary prudent person is or should be aware. Guests also have a duty to exercise good judgment and act in a responsible manner while using the amusement ride or device, water slide or other attraction, and to obey all oral and/or written warnings prior to and/or during participation.

Each guest needs to recognize that forces created by some rides may aggravate some temporary physical conditions and could injure people with disabilities who are unable to deal with such forces. Guests with a disability, whether permanent or temporary, including recent illness, surgery, brace, cast, pregnancy, etc., must use common sense in determining whether to enter a ride in light of their disability and/or physical condition.

Loose articles (cameras, glassware, stuffed animals, etc.) may not be taken on rides and should be left with a non-rider. Attendant is not responsible for lost, misplaced or stolen items.

Lagoon Guest Rider Responsibility is dictated by the Utah Amusement Park Rider Responsibility Act – Utah Code Ann. 78-27-61.
