open information Maintenance Mechanic

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the erection, repair, refurbishment, modification and/or construction of amusement rides and devices, equipment and facilities, and performs related duties as required in accordance with the company's policies and procedures. By conducting systems and components inspections and tests and analyzing performance variations isolating defective components and systems, repairing equipment failures and mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions, completing preventive maintenance, conducting test rides, adjusting controls and systems, the Maintenance Worker maintains the amusement rides and devices and other equipment as directed.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
  • The Maintenance Mechanic must be willing and able to work flexible hours, five-six days a week from as early as 5:00 a.m. to as late as 1:00 a.m. including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • This is an entry level position.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, climb on rides, and complete daily maintenance ride safety check sheets.
  • Must be able to accomplish job duties in confined spaces and/or at heights up to 200 feet.

open information Construction Laborer

Under general supervision, the Construction Laborer will perform a variety of duties relating to the Construction Department at Lagoon. Duties will include, but are not limited to carpentry work, cement work , siding/metal cladding installation, and other duties associated with the maintenance, erection, refurbishment, repair, and or construction of attractions, buildings and facilities and other related duties as required in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures.

The Construction Laborer will complete skilled concrete work including the setup of forms in which concrete is poured to create walkways, walls, pillars and other structures. The Construction Laborer will work with rebar or wire mesh to reinforce the material, use trowels and other tools to spread and smooth concrete, and mold expansion joins and edges.

The Construction Laborer will complete skilled work in the installation of metal cladding/siding on roofs and exterior and interior walls. Work will include application of metal panels, fitting and fastening siding material to laths, using rule, measuring tape, hand tools, power tools, nails, screws, or bolts, cutting and trimming material to shape when fitting siding around windows or corners, using knife, shears, or portable power saw, waterproofing surface by filling joints or cracks with caulking compound, using putty knife, trowel, or caulking gun. May apply precut siding or may cut material to size and shape at work site. May attach siding to surface of building, using adhesive cement. May attach siding by interlocking pieces through tabs provided at edges, following sequence indicated by numbers printed on reverse of each piece.

Under general supervision, the Electrician performs skilled electrical work in the maintenance, repair, and installation of new electrical systems and equipment; and performs related duties as assigned. The Electrician is responsible for the electrical duties and work associated with erection, repairs, refurbishment, modification, and/or construction of amusement rides or devices in accordance with recognized national codes and Company policies and procedures. Work and duties also include electrical installation, repair and/or maintenance of Park buildings, offices, housing, food service equipment, games equipment, lighting, electrical standby generators, alarm systems, and HV substation.

  • Candidates must be willing and able to work flexible hours, five-six days a week from as early as 5:00 a.m. to as late as 1:00 a.m. including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
